Thrive Girl is a safe space for menstrual health conversations through after school clubs and workshops for 11-16 year olds
A safe space for real conversations about menstrual health and wellbeing
When I think back to being a younger girl, starting my periods, and how that story has developed over the 20 years since—with many ups and downs, and a PCOS and PMDD diagnosis—it makes me emotional.
The things I wish I knew earlier:
That my menstrual cycle can affect my mood
That pain isn’t normal
That my cycle can tell me so much about what I need
That periods should be talked about openly
That I do deserve support
I, like so many others, often feel sad and frustrated that there weren’t more spaces for open conversations, education, and advice—and this is exactly why Thrive Girl exists. To make sure we do better for the next generation.
🌟 What is Thrive Girl?
Thrive Girl is a safe space. A place for open chats. A place to learn. A place to gain confidence in understanding our bodies, making decisions, and avoiding years of confusion and difficulty.
Through after-school clubs and workshops for girls aged 11–16, we create supportive and stigma-free environments where menstrual health, hormones, and mental wellbeing are talked about freely.
Our sessions help young people to:
Bust myths and break taboos around periods and cycles
Understand the mind–body connection and how hormones affect mood
Learn practical tools for managing period symptoms and emotions
Build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
Feel empowered and supported in their school community
