6. Do We Share Your Personal Information?

We do not sell your Personal Information. We only share it in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — companies that provide tools and services we use to run the business, such as our website host, email marketing platform [e.g. platform name], course hosting platform [e.g. platform name], scheduling tools, and customer support tools. These providers may only use your data to provide services to us and must keep it confidential and secure.

  • Payment processors — [e.g. Stripe/PayPal/Kajabi Payments], to securely process your transactions. Payments are handled through the payment gateway and are not stored on our servers.

  • Advertising and social media platforms — such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), where you have consented to advertising cookies and pixels. These platforms may use information about your visits to the Site, combined with information they hold about you, to show you tailored advertisements (see Section 9).

  • Legal and safety purposes — where required by law, such as to comply with a court order, law enforcement request, regulatory obligation, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

  • Business partners and successors — contractors, professional advisers, or a successor business if ours is sold or merged, provided they agree to keep your information confidential.

Aggregated, non-identifiable information (such as overall Site traffic statistics) may be shared with other parties.

7. How Do We Protect Your Personal Information?

Your Personal Information is held on secured systems accessible only to a limited number of people who are required to keep it confidential. All payments are encrypted and processed through our payment gateway rather than stored on our servers.

Data breaches. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you without undue delay, and we will report notifiable breaches to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) within 72 hours as required by law.

8. Cookies and Pixels

Cookies are small data files placed on your device through your browser. We use them to:

  • Keep you logged in to your account and remember items in your cart (strictly necessary — no consent required)

  • Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it (only with your consent)

  • Personalise your experience and our marketing (only with your consent)

Pixels. We use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to track visits to the Site so we can show tailored advertisements to visitors on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The pixel and other non-essential cookies are only set if you consent via our cookie banner when you first visit the Site.

You can withdraw or change your cookie preferences at any time [via our cookie settings link], and you can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site (such as your cart or account login) may not work properly. You can additionally manage how Meta advertises to you through your Facebook ad preferences.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may occasionally include links to third-party products, services, articles, or websites. These sites have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or practices. We nonetheless welcome feedback about any linked site at [contact email].

10. Accounts and Passwords

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your username and password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please do not share your login details with anyone, and log out at the end of each session on shared devices. Notify us immediately at rebecca@thehappyhormonesclub.com of any unauthorised use of your account. We are not responsible for losses arising from your failure to keep your login information secure.

11. How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Information?

We keep your Personal Information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Transaction and payment records — six years after the end of the relevant financial year, as required by UK tax law

  • Account and course access data — for as long as your account remains active

  • Marketing list data — until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

12. International Transfers

Some of our service providers (for example, email marketing or course platforms) may process your data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or UK adequacy regulations.

The Site, Courses, Services, and Products are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from them. If you are under 13, please do not use the Site or submit any Personal Information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, contact us immediately at rebecca@thehappyhormonesclub.com and we will delete it.
